Publication Twice Around the World onboard Moshulu

Publication of a diary of young Lithuanian seaman Vytautas Bagdanavičius who twice rounded the world during his practice on the four-masted steel barque Moshulu in 1937–1939 and described his adventures.

Restoration of the XX c. begin.  documents, telling the history of foundation of national shipping and naval fleets. 

Acquisition of Museum Valuables

The Museum’s collection will be added with an album of 130 original XIX–XX c. cards of past White Lighthouse, which used to be a landmark of that time Klaipeda, and other valuables, representing navigation history of the Baltic Sea.  

Exhibition By the Sea 

Coming in 2026, a temporary exhibition, telling  the story of origin of seaside resorting culture and its development during the XX c.


Acquisition of Museum Valuables

Acquisition of collectibles, representing the maritime history of Lithuania in 1800–1945, and a submarine Lituanika-01, which was designed and built by a Lithuanian sailing enthusiast Jonas Velzis in 1968.

Restoration of original items, brought to Lithuania from the USA by returning Lithuanian emigrant family in 1923.

Educational programme for schools, motiving to discover the sea and take up its challenges, evoking critical thinking and sparking curiosity; and presenting the exhibition about Lithuanian Aurimas Valujavicius and his feat paddling across the Atlantic Ocean. 10 schools from Taurage and Telsiai region will take part in the project.

Historical ships’ parade Dangė Flotilla

Traditional and unique ship parade during the Sea Festival in Klaipeda, presenting cultural maritime heritage with numerous edutainment activities to the public.
