Dolphins and California sea lions are cared by a team of qualified specialists: veterinarians, biologists and trainers. They are constantly improving their knowledge.

The Museum is a member of the International Association of Marine Mammal Trainers, the International Association of Marine Mammal Doctors and the European Association of Marine Mammal Keepers. The Marine Museum teaches people to know, love and protect rare and endangered marine animals by disseminating information about them.

Working with marine mammals is only for the fearless and dedicated. Marine animal trainers must be good swimmers and divers. The heavy workload requires physical fitness and working with animals requires quick reactions and knowledge.

Trainer

A marine mammal trainer's day starts with a meeting to plan assign duties. Then the team of trainers goes to prepare the fish for the animals. By the way, the dolphins favourite at the moment is mackerel. In the mornings, there is always a medical training session, during which their well-being is checked. For many, the job of a marine mammal trainer is associated with the exotic and a perfect day. But not everyone can do this job. You need to be in good physical condition, a good swimmer and diver, and have a university degree in biology or veterinary medicine.
