Collection of Archeological Findings

The collection contains 1127 findings. The most valuable among them are the fragments of the sunken sailing ships, displayed in the permanent exhibition of the Museum.  
Underwater archaeologist prof. dr.V. Žulkus presented the Museum with a XV c. dugout from Plateliai Lake found in 1987 and a-ten thousand-years-old pine log found in the Baltic Sea in 2012. 
The collection also contains the XVII-c.-findings from the regions of Šventoji, Curonian Spit. New supplements to the collection were added after archaeological excavations of Kopgalis Village by archaeologist dr. Klaidas Perminas.

The exhibits are displayed in the permanent exhibitions of navigation history in the Museum.
