THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE IN THE SEA
The life first appeared in the sea where it existed for hundreds of millions of years until the first primitive vertebrate animals started conquering the land. In various geological layers of the evolution of life, where once there were seas and oceans, today we can find many prints of armoured animals, best known of which are ammonites and trilobites. This, third, table displays exactly the replica of a trilobite.

Trilobites
Trilobita in Latin, are extinct ancient fossil arthropods. They lived in seas from the Cambrian period more than 500 million years ago. They became extinct 240 million years ago. Trilobites are inhabitants of the Palaeozoic Era. Its body consisting of a head, a trunk and a tail was protected by firm, flexible shell.
When touching it, let’s explore the exhibited 3D replica of a trilobite. It is white, the size of a loaf of bread. The body of a trilobite consists of two parts: grown together head and trunk. The head is in a shape of a convex oval, there are a pair of articulated blunt antennae on the bottom side. The trunk is covered with armour, elongated, with many narrow or wide bumps that resemble human spinal vertebra. Limbs are very short, situated at the sides of the trunk, blunt, resemble small spines. It ends with a short, blunt tail. A trilobite resembles a gigantic centipede.
